Overview

This position is primarily responsible for directing the day-to-day oversight of the Company’s Treasury, Cash Management, Foreign Exchange, and Credit functions, while working closely with the Treasurer to determine and execute Treasury related strategies and initiatives.

 

This role is a critical component of the Company’s overall Financial Risk Management process and reports directly to the Global VP and Treasurer.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
  • Oversee various activities related to the management of cash, foreign exchange, capital structure, short-term borrowing and excess cash investments, and the maintenance of banking relationships.
  • Direct intercompany funding, loans, and capitalizations.
  • Implement Treasury policies and procedures to meet internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Assist in directing the company’s foreign exchange risk management programs and negotiations of credit agreements.
  • Manage derivatives valuation and documentation, including Reval software, stress testing and scenario analysis, and ISDA negotiations.
  • Oversee corporate and purchasing card programs.
  • Review, manage and report the credit quality and credit risk associated with the Company’s prospective and existing counterparties.
  • Develop and maintain management reports focused on credit monitoring, quality, and risk.
  • Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements measures to minimize DSO’s and ensure timely receipt of account receivables.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • BA or BS in Business (or equivalent) required
  • MBA or equivalent degree/designation preferred
  • 10+ years Treasury, cash management and risk management experience required
  • CTP or equivalent preferred

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, corporate procedures/regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
